The long-awaited regular season schedule release came and went on Wednesday evening, and things look tough for the New York Giants. They face a murderer’s row over the first month of the season and will face the league’s most difficult strength of schedule.
But before the regular season kicks off, the Giants will play three preseason games against a trio of familiar teams.

Here’s a look at the Giants’ full preseason schedule:
Week 1: at Buffalo Bills
The Giants will open the preseason in Orchard Park against the Buffalo Bills — a place and team all too familiar with general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll. Given their longstanding ties, the two teams may conduct joint practices leading up to the game.
As of this writing, the date, time, and television channel have not been announced.
Week 2: vs. New York Jets
The Giants and Jets will continue their preseason series in Week 2. Over the years, the game has been called the MetLife Bowl and the Snoopy Bowl but whatever you prefer to call it, it’s been played annually dating back to the Yale Bowl in 1969. The series was interrupted only by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and the Jets lead the all-time series, 28-25-1.
This game will be played on Saturday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m. ET. A channel is to be determined.
Week 3: at New England Patriots
From 2005 through 2022, the Giants and Patriots squared off each preseason. That changed in 2023 in the final year for Bill Belichick as head coach and remained off the table in 2024 when Jerod Mayo took over the reigns. But with Mike Vrable now in charge, the two teams will return to their preseason norms. And there might also be some joint practices.
This game will be played on Thursday, August 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET and air on Prime Video.
