The Brooklyn Nets (17-48) recently put together a two-game winning streak that saw them come back from nearly-impossible odds to watch along with dominating an undermanned Western Conference team. The Nets come into this game following a 138-100 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday in which Brooklyn fell behind by as many as 43 points in what was the second night of a back-to-back for them. Forward Michael Porter Jr. led the way for the Nets with 19 points and two rebounds while forward Jalen Wilson came off the bench to drop 14 points and three rebounds in 25 minutes.
The Hawks enter this matchup after a 124-112 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday in which Atlanta used a 40-26 lead after the end of the first quarter to give themselves enough cushion to finish the game with a double-digit victory. Guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker had 29 points and three assists while All-Star forward Jalen Johnson had 27 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.

Advice and Prediction
The Nets are coming off a disappointing blowout loss to the Pistons that showed where a game could go for Brooklyn if they do not play their best from start to finish. The good news is that the Nets will get an easier matchup against the Hawks, but they will be doing so without Michael Porter Jr. and Nolan Traore so some of the bench players will have to step up.
The Hawks remain in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament race as they are hoping to make the best of this season that involved them trading away one of their franchise stars in Trae Young. Johnson seems ready to lead the team moving forward, but Brooklyn will have to contend with players like McCollum and Alexander-Walker on the perimeter as well.
Given the nature of where both teams are in their respective life cycles, the Nets and Hawks have some degrees of separation in some advanced statistical categories. Brooklyn ranks as one of the worst teams in the NBA in offensive rating, defensive rating, and in pace while Atlanta is middle of the pack on offense and defense as one of the fastest teams in terms of pace in the league.
