National Pi Day — which for many means pie day and food deals — is Saturday, March 14. Pi Day, every March 14, recognizes the “mathematical constant π” — that would be 3.14 (and endless numerals after that). Guinness World Records puts the most accurate pi measurement at more than 62 trillion digits, calculated in 2021 by the University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, USA TODAY reported. For many, though, the day is about another kind of math: food deals. “The day is celebrated by pi enthusiasts and pie lovers alike,” said a blurb about it on the National Day Calendar website. Some Westchester, Rockland and Putnam restaurants, as well as national restaurant chains offer deals on March 14. Here’s a few options.
