Cheesy Eddie’s, a longtime bakery in Rochester, has been handing out free cheesecake on National Cheesecake Day since 2012. The year 2025 will be no exception.
Beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, its Henrietta location will give away a free slice to anyone who stops by. Slices are limited to one per person; be prepared to wait in line. The shop expects to give away more than 3,000 slices in all — and they don’t expect their supply will last until closing time at 6 p.m.
In addition, Mortalis Brewing, the Macarollin food truck and Union Place Coffee Roasters will be on hand with beer, gourmet mac and cheese and coffee available to sample and purchase.
The original Cheesy Eddie’s South Wedge location on South Avenue will be closed Wednesday due to limited space and staff.
The Henrietta location is at 900 Jefferson Road, Building 21; from the Jefferson Road entrance, turn right at Palmer’s Direct to You Market.
