Mid-Hudson Valley weekend opens with gusty winds, closes with rain

The weekend in the Mid-Hudson Valley will open with some gusty winds and close with some showers, according to the National Weather Service.

In between, there will be a mix of sun and clouds.

June 20 will open the weekend with sunny skies and highs in the low 80s in Dutchess County, the upper 70s in Orange and Ulster counties and the lower 70s in Sullivan County.

But west winds will also be a factor in the day. They will range from 7 to 10 mph in Ulster County to 11 to 14 mph in Orange County. There will be gusts of 20 mph in Ulster County, and 24 or 25 mph in Orange, Dutchess and Sullivan counties.

The night of June 20 will be mostly clear, with lows in the mid-50s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties and the low 50s in Sullivan County.

Father’s Day weather in the mid-Hudson Valley

June 21, which is Father’s Day, will be sunny or mostly sunny in all four counties, with highs in the low 80s in Dutchess and Ulster counties, the upper 70s in Orange County and the mid-70s in Sullivan County.

The night of June 21 will be mostly cloudy in all four counties, with lows in the upper 50s in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and the mid-50s in Sullivan County.

However, there is a 50% chance of showers in Orange and Sullivan counties and a 40% chance of showers in Dutchess and Ulster counties after 2 a.m.
