Meet the Section V lacrosse stat leaders this spring

Attention has shifted to team achievements, but individual accomplishments warrant some notice too.

Section V boys lacrosse’s regular season ended on May 20. With that, we can put a stamp on this season’s statistical leaders. In the mix are some familiar names and some newcomers.

No player has been as productive as Bloomfield-Honeoye’s Brayden Arber. The sophomore was the only Section V player to eclipse 100 points — he has 107 — during the regular season. That includes a section-high 78 goals. Three years into his varsity career, Arber already has 171 goals, which suggests he could challenge Section V’s all-time scoring record of 278 held by Pal-Mac’s Ben Reeves.

Another sophomore, Victor’s Eli Ricci, is the only player to appear among the leaders in three different categories. Ricci currently leads Section V in ground balls, and ranks second in total faceoff wins and third in win percentage.
