The All-Greater Rochester Hockey Team was selected by coaches with input from Democrat and Chronicle and Daily Messenger Post sportswriters.
Player of the Year
David Pollard
School: Pittsford Mendon
Year: Senior
Parents: Sarah and Jeffrey Pollard
Position: Forward
Key accomplishment: Earning 57 points this high school season.
Future plans: Attend college to study finance and play club hockey.
Why David Pollard is Player of the Year: Pollard was Section V’s top offensive producer this season. The senior forward led the area in goals scored (27) and shared the lead in points (49) during the regular season. He added eight points, including four goals, in five postseason games.
This season marked the second straight year Pollard led Pittsford in scoring.
With Pollard’s offensive punch leading the way, Pittsford reached the state’s final four for the third time in four seasons. The senior finished his varsity career with 63 goals and 116 points in 94 games.
Ryan Carmody
School: Aquinas
Year: Junior
Parents: Maresa and Patrick Carmody
Position: Center
Key accomplishments: Scoring 123 points in 67 games through junior season and bringing the brick back to Dewey Avenue.
Future plans: Attend college and play competitive hockey.
Zachary Haines
School: Spencerport
Year: Senior
Parents: Kim and Scott Haines
Position: Right wing
Key accomplishments: Finished fifth in Section V in scoring with 37 points during the regular season.
Future plans: Study marketing at Brockport.
Hunter Huttemann
School: Hilton
Year: Senior
Parents: Kelly and David Huttemann
Position: Center
Key accomplishment: Winning first-ever sectional title in team history.
Future plans: I plan to attend college at St. Bonaventure University and play Division I ACHA hockey.
Oliver Kowal
School: Victor
Year: Senior

Key accomplishment: Back-to-back games with hat tricks.
Future plans: St. Bonaventure University Division I lacrosse.
Anthony Pusateri
School: Webster Schroeder
Year: Junior

Position: Defenseman
Key accomplishment: The No. 1 thing that I am most proud of this season was playing with all the seniors that I grew up playing with. I made a ton of memories this year that will last a lifetime.
Future plans: Continue to play hockey and finish high school.
