Marist University women’s basketball will host a five-game homestand in November before headed to the U.S. Virgin Islands to compete in the Paradise Jam on Thanksgiving weekend.
The season opener will be Tuesday, Nov/ 4, at the University at Albany. Following will be home games at McCann Arena with Drexel (Nov. 7), Bryant (Nov. 11), Holy Cross (No., 16), Stony Brook (Nov. 19) and Monmouth (Nov. 24).
The Paradise Jam opener will be Nov. 28 against Louisiana State. The next day, the Red Foxes will take on either Washington State or Miami, Ohio.
The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action opens Dec. 19 at Mount Saint Mary’s, Md, followed two days later with the MAAC home opener with Quinnipiac. This is the second season of the MAAC’s unbalanced schedule, due to having 13 schools, so the Red Foxes will play all members twice except Canisius and Niagara (both home games), and Iona and Mount Saint Mary’s (road games).
The MAAC postseason tournament will be hosted at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., for the seventh consecutive year. First-round play is on March 5, quarterfinals on both March 6-7, semifinals on March 8 and the final on March 9 – the winner gets the automatic bid to the NCAA Div. I tournament.
This will be the third season with as head coach Erin Doughty.
Start times will be announced on a later date.
