The Mahopac Fire Department brought the community together Thursday, July 24, for its annual parade, featuring a procession with firefighters and marching bands from throughout the region.
The parade kicks off the beginning of the annual carnival, held next to the firehouse. This year’s carnival runs for seven days, offering festivities, fun and the fire department’s famous sausage and peppers.

The carnival is open Thursday through Sunday, July 27; and Thursday, July 31 through Saturday, Aug. 2. Hours are 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays; 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays; and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 27.
