The New York Knicks are scheduled to appear on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, June 15, following the franchise’s first NBA championship in 53 years.
The Knicks captured the title Saturday night with a 94-90 victory in Game 5, sparking celebrations across New York as fans flooded streets throughout the city.
Wu-Tang Clan to serve as musical guest
The musical guest for Monday’s show will be the Wu-Tang Clan, the iconic Staten Island hip-hop group.
Members of Wu-Tang Clan performed during halftime of Game 4 at Madison Square Garden on June 10. During the performance, Method Man predicted “Knicks in five” despite New York trailing by 29 points.
The Knicks rallied to win Game 4 and took a commanding series lead before clinching the championship in Game 5.
Knicks continue championship media tour
The Knicks’ starting lineup — Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges — appeared at Rockefeller Plaza on Monday morning as part of the team’s championship media tour.
How to watch the Knicks on ‘The Tonight Show’
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon featuring the Knicks is scheduled to air Monday, June 15, at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC and stream on Peacock.
When is the Knicks championship parade?
New York City officials have announced plans for a ticker-tape parade to celebrate the Knicks’ championship.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the parade is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, beginning at 10 a.m.
The parade will travel through Lower Manhattan’s Canyon of Heroes before concluding at City Hall, where players and coaches are expected to be honored.
Attendance is free, but large crowds are expected. City officials have encouraged fans to arrive early.
The celebration will mark the first ticker-tape parade in Knicks history. The franchise’s previous NBA championship teams in 1970 and 1973 were honored with receptions at City Hall rather than parades.
