Public voting is now under way to choose winners in the 2025 Rochester Community’s Choice Awards, an annual event sponsored by the Democrat and Chronicle.

Each year, some 420 firms are recognized in a total of about 140 categories. The categories are wide ranging, including ones such as sports and fitness and car dealers and restaurants.
Local businesses and organizations received nominations in early summer during the first round of the program. The five with the most submissions in each category have moved forward to a voting round.
Now, voting by Rochester-area residents will determine which companies or nonprofits are selected as Community’s Choice award winners.
To choose your favorite in any or all of the categories, please cast your vote by Sept. 22.
As the program’s website states, “Show your support for your favorite companies and vote now. This round decides the winners!”
Those winners will be recognized at the Rochester’s Community Choice gala Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
