How much rain, snow is expected in Binghamton this week? Here's the forecast

Binghamton residents should expect cloudy skies and some precipitation this week, though sunny skies should prevail on Wednesday.

Daytime temperatures will fluctuate between the 30s and 40s this week, with nighttime temperatures remaining in the 20s on Tuesday and Wednesday and rising to 40 degrees on Thursday night.. Expect both rain and snow showers this week, with precipitation possible on Tuesday and again on Wednesday night.

Tuesday

Tuesday may see snow returning to the Binghamton area, with a 30% chance of precipitation and a chance of snow showers, mainly after 8 a.m. The day will be mostly cloudy, with a high around 34 degrees and winds of 10 to 18 mph, with gusts reaching 36 mph.

Precipitation will end before Tuesday night, which will be mostly cloudy, with a low of about 23 degrees. Expect a wind of 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, Binghamton residents should expect a break from the cloudy weather of the past two weeks, with the day remaining mostly sunny. Temperatures will peak around 45 degrees, with winds of about 6 mph.

Wednesday night will bring a small chance of snow showers after 2 a.m., with a 20% chance of precipitation. Skies will be partly cloudy, with a low around 28 degrees.

Thursday

Chances of precipitation will increase to 70% on Thursday, and bring likely snow showers before 9 a.m., likely snow and rain showers between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., with rain showers continuing after 10 a.m. Expect cloudy skies, with a high around 47 degrees.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 40 degrees. There will be a 70% chance of precipitation, with showers likely, mainly before 2 a.m.
