New York Giants star Tremaine Edmunds was omitted from ESPN’s latest rankings of the top off-ball linebackers in the NFL.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler notes that Edmunds received votes from league executives, coaches, and scouts polled by the network for the top 10 off-ball linebackers in 2026, but did not receive enough support to make the list.
Others outside of the top 10 to receive votes were Quay Walker, Patrick Queen, Frankie Luvu, Bobby Wagner, Foyesade Oluokun, Ernest Jones IV, Zaire Franklin, T.J. Edwards, Kaden Elliss, Dre Greenlaw, Jihaad Campbell, DeMarvion Overshown, and Demario Davis.
Last season with the Chicago Bears, Edmunds ranked third in the NFL and second among linebackers with four interceptions, underscoring his effectiveness as a pass disruptor. He also recorded one sack and nine passes defensed.
Although he was left off the top 10 this year, Edmunds will have the opportunity to elevate the Giants’ defense next season. A stronger performance could push him into that elite tier in the future.
