A free, spooky performance of a horror comedy reading is scheduled to take the stage at Hobart and William Smith Colleges on Friday the 13th.
“Let’s Summon a Demon at Debbie’s,” written by Brandon Monokian and published by 1319 Press, will be shown at McDonald Theatre in the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva on June 13. Signed copies of the play will be available for purchase at the venue.
This performance is set to be a script-in-hand staged reading and will include graphic language, adult content and “many, many creepy dolls,” according to Chris Woodworth, who will be playing Debbie in the show.
“Let’s Summon a Demon at Debbie’s,” according to Woodworth, marks the fourth play by Monokian performed in Geneva.
The reading will be approximately 80 minutes long, and admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors for the show will open at 7 p.m. and the performance will begin at 7:30.
The Gearan Center for the Performing Arts is located at 299 Pulteney Street in Geneva, Ontario County. Free parking will be available at the Medbery North Visitor Parking Lot, which is adjacent to the Gearan Center.
