With success comes poaching in the NFL and that previously happened to the Buffalo Bills and their front office.
Because of that taking place, the Bills just received a sign that they produce some promising football minds.
Formerly the assistant general manager in Buffalo, the New York Giants hired Joe Schoen as GM in 2022. Over the weekend, he earned a contract extension in New York:
Interestingly, Schoen outlived Brian Daboll with Big Blue. The Giants fired Daboll as head coach during last season.
Daboll won the 2022 AP Coach of the Year Award after he left his post as the Bills’ offensive coordinator to become the Giants head coach. However, the Giants had hoped Daboll would help their quarterback situation and that failed to happen along with more losses arriving.
Schoen and the Giants are now tying their saddle to second-year QB Jaxson Dart moving forward and that draft pick likely played a big part in Schoen’s extension.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 offseason.
