Information D&C is seeking from candidates
The Democrat and Chronicle’s reporters have been reaching out to candidates in about 30 districts who filed to run for Board of Education in the May 19, 2026, school votes. If you are an announced candidate, you may well have already been contacted.
In some cases, reaching candidates has been difficult. So if you are a candidate who has not been contacted by a D&C reporter, please email this information as soon as possible to mkilian@usatodayco.com, with the subject line “School candidate information:”
Please include in the email a clear headshot photo of the candidate.

Candidates’ information will publish days before the May 19, 2026, school elections in the printed Democrat and Chronicle and Canandaigua Daily Messenger and also at www.democratandchronicle.com and www.mpnnow.com.
