Costco recalls Caesar salads over possible plastic contamination. Check if yours is affected

Costco is recalling two popular prepared foods: its Caesar salad (item No. 19927) and its chicken sandwich with Caesar salad (item No. 11444).

The affected products have sell-by dates of Oct. 17 and Nov. 9, according to a recall notice posted on Costco’s website on Nov. 7.

Availability in Rochester

According to a store manager, the Rochester Costco location carried only the Caesar salad, not the chicken sandwich combination.

Reason for the recall

The recall was issued by Costco and its supplier, Ventura Foods, due to the potential presence of plastic in the salad dressing used in the items.

What customers should do

Customers who purchased the affected salads are urged to return them to Costco for a full refund.

For additional questions, consumers can visit Costco’s customer service website.
