A Congers man was killed Wednesday, Jan. 14, after two vehicles crashed into him on Route 303 in West Nyack.
Clarkstown Police Det. Norman Peters said the crash happened around 5:25 p.m. near the Mavis Discount Tire at 81 N. Route 303.
An investigation found that the victim, Joseph Signorini, 41, of Congers, was walking within the southbound lane of Route 303 when he was struck by one vehicle, then struck by another vehicle in the northbound lane. Signorini was pronounced dead at the scene by medical first responders.
Both drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with police during the investigation.
Route 303 near Bobby Lane was closed between 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. as the preliminary investigation was conducted. Peters said an investigation remains ongoing.
