Con Edison recently announced the winners of its annual scholarship awards for Westchester County student athletes at its annual banquet. The program is in its 74th year.
The Con Ed Student Athlete of the Week recognizes the individual athlete’s excellence in sports, academics, and community service. They’re chosen weekly by a panel of athletic directors and coaches.
Irwin “Red” Klein Scholarship: Anderson Krasner, New Rochelle (attending Amherst College)
Bob Wolff Memorial Scholarship: Madeline Horner, Pelham (attending Johns Hopkins University)
Tony Sabella Memorial Scholarship: Miguel Iglesias, Somers (attending University of Notre Dame)
Dr. Charles “Doc” Blanford Memorial Scholarship: Oban Rader, Lakeland (attending SUNY Cortland)
