Cloudy skies, showers then sun this weekend in mid-Hudson Valley

The National Weather Service says the mid-Hudson Valley can expect a mixed bag this weekend.

Skies will be cloudy or mostly cloudy on Saturday, but then sunny or mostly sunny on Sunday.

There is also a chance for a small rain shower Saturday night.

On Saturday, the weekend will start with cloudy skies in Orange and Dutchess counties, and mostly cloudy skies in Sullivan and Ulster counties. There is a 20 percent chance of showers in Orange County after 1 p.m.

High temperatures will range from the mid-50s in Orange County to the low 50s in Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan counties.

On Saturday night, skies will be mostly cloudy in all four counties, with low temperatures in the upper 40s in Orange County, and the low to mid-40s in Dutchess, Sullivan and Ulster counties.

There is a 70 percent chance of showers in all four counties after 1 a.m., but less than 1/10 of an inch of rain is likely.

On Sunday, skies will start out mostly cloudy in Orange County but gradually shift to sunny. Dutchess, Sullivan and Ulster counties will have mostly sunny skies.

Sunday’s high temperatures will be in the upper 50s in Orange County, the mid-50s in Dutchess and Ulster counties and the lower 50s in Sullivan County.

Sunday night will be mostly clear in all four counties, with low temperatures in the mid-30s.
