Burlington is opening new stores in NY. Here’s where and when

Burlington is set to open 26 stores across the United States this month – including one in New York – as the company expands. By the end of June, two new Burlington stores are scheduled to open within the Empire state.

The New Jersey-based company – previously known as Burlington Coat Factory – is amidst an expansion to more than 1,000 stores. The store openings this month are among the 100 stores set to open by the end of 2026.

Burlington CEO Michael O’Sullivan said the new stores will feature an “improved store design.”

“Delivering incredible value on brand-name and on-trend merchandise is at the heart of what we do,” he said in a written statement. “We look forward to giving shoppers the chance to explore great savings, find fresh brands, and experience our new and improved store design no matter where they live.”

Originally known as a destination for coats and outerwear, Burlington now sells apparel for men, women and children, as well as beauty products, home décor, pet products and toys, all at discounts of up to 60%.

Apart from May’s store openings, Burlington also broke ground on a massive, two-million-square-foot distribution center near Phoenix, Arizona. Burlington says the new center is set to open in 2028.
