Binghamton St. Patrick's Day parades happening March 7-8. What to know

The St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are starting early in Binghamton.

The holiday falls on Tuesday, March 17, in 2026. However, the first weekend in March will have two parades in Binghamton, allowing for residents to start celebrating the holiday a little early.

Here’s all the details about the St. Patrick’s Day parades being held in Binghamton the weekend of March 6.

Binghamton St. Patrick’s Day parade

The Binghamton St. Patrick’s Day parade is organized and funded by the Hibernian Parade Committee of Broome County Inc., according to the parade’s Facebook page, and will feature festive floats, bagpipes and “plenty of Irish pride lining the streets.”

Hillcrest St. Patrick’s Day parade

The Hillcrest St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day parade that will end Binghamton’s parade weekend, according to a press release.

The parade will include “four bagpipe bands and several community organizations,” the release states, and it will also be “America 250” themed to celebrate the 250th birthday of the nation.

Donations for Underwear and Socks for Kids, an organization created by the Centery-Chenango Street Church, will be collected along the parade route.
