Bills' Sean McDermott updates bumps and bruises for QB Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott provided one item to keep an eye on moving forward this upcoming week ahead of his team facing the Atlanta Falcons.

The Bills (4-1) head to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to taken on the Falcons (2-2) in Week 6. While their quarterback has not missed any playing time this season, Josh Allen is dealing with some bumps and bruises according to his coach.

On Monday following Buffalo’s 23-20 loss to the New England Patriots on “Sunday Night Football” last weekend, McDermott updated how the Bills QB is feeling after some suspected he took some hits.

“Just sore overall,” said McDermott on late Monday afternoon in Orchard Park. “As you saw, he took some shots there, and he plays extremely hard, but just sore overall at this point.”

Allen has been one of the most durable players in the NFL since his 2018 arrival. That doesn’t mean he has not played through injury.

On the positive side, following Buffalo’s trip to Atlanta it will be the Bills’ bye week. Time for every one to heal up.

It’s unclear if and when Allen was injured against the Pats. McDermott did not specify. Some suspected it might have been a hit from the fourth quarter when Allen scrambled.
