ORCHARD PARK – The Buffalo Bills will have a punter competition – which makes some people downright giddy – this summer at St. John Fisher College.
They took Florida’s Tommy Doman with the 239th pick in the seventh round and he will do battle with veteran Mitch Wishnowsky who the Bills re-signed to a one-year contract in March.
Doman began his career at Michigan, then transferred to Florida for his final two seasons.
He was also a kickoff specialist who can attempt a field goal if needed. One of his primary strengths was hang time.
Last year he averaged 44 yards per punt, had only six touchbacks anf forced 17 fair catches with 17 punts downed inside the 20.
