The Bacon Brothers are a hot ticket. Lydia O’Sullivan, production manager at Point of the Bluff, said seats are almost sold out for the event, while some general admission standing tickets remain available.

“Seats for the event are almost all taken,” O’Sullivan said. “There is a total of about seven seats left. They are all single seats and there are some general admissions still available.”

The cost of a ticket ranges from $50 to $100, O’Sullivan said. About 1,200 people will be able to see the show, which is part of a series of concerts at Point of the Bluff.

O’Sullivan said this is the second time the Bacon Brothers, who have spent the better part of three decades exploring their own mix of folk, rock, soul and country music, have performed at the Point of the Bluff.

The Bacon Brothers call their diverse sound “forosoco” and it has taken them around the world. The band recently released its 12th studio album, Ballad Of The Brothers, highlighting not only their similarities but also their differences.

The album marks the continuation of a musical partnership that began in Philadelphia, where the Bacons were raised on a soundtrack of 1970s singer/songwriters.

Kevin Bacon has been starring in Hollywood films since the 1980s, with notable credits including “Footloose,” “Tremors,” “Mystic River” and “Apollo 13.”

The Pernikoff Brothers will open the show.

Other upcoming shows at Point of the Bluff include performances by Leann Rimes, Emmylou Harris, Ashley McBryde and Clint Black.

“Our earliest concert is annually held in late May, and the concert season usually ends in late September,” O’Sullivan said.
