Army Football After Dark adds a couple more chapters this season.
The Black Knights are assured of two prime-time outings this season as nine of 12 scheduled games have been assigned start times and national networks.
The highlight is the Saturday, Nov. 7, service-academy clash with Air Force on CBS (WCBS-2 in New York). Michie Stadium will host the 7:30 p.m. ET start, the 17th overall night contest at Michie dating back to 1984.
CBS will also host the Dec. 12 Army-Navy Game at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, from East Rutherford, N.J.
Army also has an 8:30 p.m. start at Tulsa on Friday, Oct. 23, a contest on ESPN2. Another Friday contest has Army traveling to Philadelphia to take on Temple on Sept. 25 with an unusual early start time of 4 p.m. as part of an American Conference doubleheader on ESPN.
Army still has existing television rights with CBS, which will place five noon home starts on CBS Sports Network, a commonplace destination: Sept. 5 vs. Bryant, Sept. 12 vs. South Florida, Oct. 10 vs. Tulane, Oct. 17 vs. Florida Atlantic and Nov. 21 vs. East Carolina.
The three remaining contests will have networks and start times determined within a 12-day window: Oct. 3 at Sun Belt Conference foe Louisiana Tech, Oct. 31 at Memphis and Nov. 28 at Rice.
Should Army qualify for its second American Conference title game, that will air at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, on ABC.
Last season, Army played three of its first four games as night starts: a 30-27 overtime home loss to Tarleton State, a 24-21 road win at Kansas State and a 28-6 loss at East Carolina.
