Following a week of warm temperatures and some rain showers, the Binghamton area is likely to see a drop in temperatures and possible snow from April 17-19.
National Weather Service Binghamton meteorologist Michael Murphy said the weekend will start out fairly warm, but temperatures will drop by April 19, bringing in potential snow showers as well.

Weather April 17 in Binghamton
There is a 20% chance of precipitation in the morning, with rain showers expected between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., before turning to partly sunny skies in the afternoon on April 17. Temperatures will reach 70 degrees.
The evening stays dry, with partly cloudy skies and a low around 52 degrees.
Weather April 18 in Binghamton
Murphy said April 18 is “looking really nice,” except for a 20% chance of rain showers before 2 p.m. Despite this, the afternoon shows mostly sunny skies and a high near 76 degrees.
The evening will bring in an 80% chance of rain showers and a possible thunderstorm; however, with a thunderstorm expected between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. and then rain showers after. Temperatures drop to a low around 41 degrees.
Weather April 19 in Binghamton
The temperature will drop significantly on April 19, with a high near 49 degrees, mostly cloudy skies and a 70% chance of rain showers, mainly before 2 p.m.
Precipitation will continue through the evening, with a 40% chance of rain showers before 11 p.m., then turning into snow showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Murphy said no accumulation is expected. Otherwise, the forecast shows mostly cloudy skies and a low around 29 degrees.
