AFC executive on New York Giants' Malik Nabers: 'He can do everything'

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers earned honorable mention status in ESPN’s annual ranking of the NFL’s top wide receivers for 2026, as voted on by league executives, coaches, and scouts.

Although he did not crack the top 10, Nabers received votes, underscoring the respect he commands across the league despite missing significant time with a knee injury late in the 2025 season.

One AFC executive offered high praise for the young pass catcher.

“He’s easily a top-10 receiver. The knee situation is worrisome, but hopefully he bounces back soon. But he can do everything you need,” the executive said.

Nabers’ versatility as a route runner, separator, and after-the-catch playmaker made him a standout before the injury. Head coach John Harbaugh expressed optimism about his recovery, noting that Nabers is progressing well in rehabilitation and expected to work his way into practice as training camp begins.

Harbaugh highlighted the steady daily improvements for both Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo.

As the Giants prepare for the 2026 season, Nabers’ potential return bolsters expectations for the offense under Harbaugh. His ability to impact all phases of the passing game positions him as a cornerstone for New York’s aerial attack once fully healthy.
