A 39-year-old woman struck by a car in Rome has died from their injuries and the Rome Police Department is asking for anyone with information to come forward.
At around 11:40 a.m. on Feb. 3, the Rome Police Department received a call for a motor vehicle and pedestrian collision on the 400 block of West Court Street.
The Rome Police Department said in a statement that Zulay Longo, 39, of Rome, was struck by a dark colored Ford SUV which was traveling in an easterly direction on West Court Street. The suspect vehicle fled the scene towards North Madison Street.
Rome police officials said on Feb. 11, Longo died of her injuries at SUNY Upstate Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
