Nominations are being accepted for local businesses and organizations for the 2025 Rochester Community’s Choice Awards, an annual event sponsored by the Democrat and Chronicle.
Each year, some 420 firms are recognized in a total of about 140 categories. The categories are wide ranging, including ones such as pet grooming companies and liquor stores and auto body and collision shops.
The nomination period runs through Monday, July 21. The five companies or organizations receiving the most submissions move on to a voting round in late summer. People who nominate in 25 or more categories will be entered in a contest to win a $250 gift card.
In September, beginning Sept. 8, members of the public may vote for their favorites in each category. And winners are recognized at the Rochester’s Community Choice gala Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
“From trendy hotspots to hidden gems, this awards program is your chance to shine a spotlight on the establishments that make the Rochester area stand out,” promotional materials for Rochester’s Community Choice state.
