Who is running in 2025 city council and mayoral elections around the Des Moines metro?

Many cities in the Des Moines metro will soon have new city council members or mayors when voters weigh in in the upcoming election.

Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 4 and you can find your precinct and polling place on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website.

Early and absentee voting begins Oct. 15. Absentee ballots must be received by the time the polls close at 8 p.m. on Election Day to be eligible for counting.

Here’s who’s running for city council and mayor in Des Moines’ suburbs:
