After trimming her list of potential destinations, Iowa women’s basketball has made the final three for four-star 2027 center Khalia Hartwell, per 247Sports’ Dushawn London.
A product of Westside High School in Anderson, S.C., the 6-foot-5 center was named South Carolina’s Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 12.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game last season.
Hartwell is set to visit Iowa on Sept. 11. The South Carolina prospect will also visit Georgia on Sept. 4 and Virginia Tech on Sept. 18.
Per 247Sports, Hartwell is the nation’s No. 16 overall player, the No. 2 center and the top player in South Carolina. According to Rivals, Hartwell is the country’s No. 26 player, the No. 3 center and the top player in South Carolina. Hartwell is a five-star prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings.
The Hawkeyes offered Hartwell on Sept. 30, 2025.
If Jan Jensen and Co. can secure the commitment from Hartwell, she would join blue-chip combo guard Jada Seubert as the second member of the Hawkeyes’ 2027 recruiting class.
Here’s a look at some of Hartwell’s highlights:
