Alabama will perform at the Iowa State Fair at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026.
Formed in Fort Payne, Alabama, in 1969, the country group became one of the genre’s biggest acts in the 1980s with a string of No. 1 albums and platinum singles such as “Song of the South,” “Dixieland Delight” and “Mountain Music.”
Alabama made its Iowa State Fair Grandstand debut in 1982 and has returned 12 times over the past three decades, most recently in 2017.

Tickets for the concert range from $31.40 to $81.40. Tickets to see Alabama go on sale Friday, April. 24, at 10 a.m. at iowastatefair.org.
Concertgoers also need an admission ticket to the Iowa State Fair.
