There are still plenty of marquee matchups across college basketball and conference tournaments have yet to be played. But with less than a month to go before Selection Sunday, the NCAA gave a glimpse into its thought process by unveiling the in-season top 16 NCAA Tournament seeds on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Iowa State basketball, which has been a top-10 fixture in the national rankings throughout the season, was listed as the fourth overall seed and took the final projected No. 1 seed.
The Cyclones enter their Feb. 21 game at BYU with a 23-3 overall record and a 10-3 mark in Big 12 Conference play.
The official NCAA Tournament bracket reveal will occur on Selection Sunday, which is scheduled for March 15.

The Cyclones are on track for a No. 1 seed. They were ranked No. 4 overall by the committee Saturday, which makes them the final team among top seeds.
Iowa State is projected to be in the South Region, along with the likes of No. 2 UConn, No. 3 Nebraska and No. 4 Texas Tech.
