Iowa man dies in West Des Moines rollover crash

A Truro resident died in a rollover crash around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29 in the Madison County area of West Des Moines.

Nicholas J. Henry, 25, was driving a 2008 Mini Cooper south on Southwest Grand Prairie Parkway when the car went out of control in the 4400 block, hit a curb and rolled over multiple times, according to the Iowa State Patrol. The Patrol report cited witnesses who said Henry was driving at a high rate of speed.

Henry, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car before it came to a stop on the east side of the road.

He was transported to UnityPoint Health – Iowa Methodist Medical Center by West Des Moines EMS.
