Iowa (1-1) is eyeing a bounce-back from its first loss of the 2025 season, a 16-13 nail-biter against rival Iowa State from Jack Trice Stadium.
The Hawkeyes are still looking to get their passing game figured out and to help graduate quarterback Mark Gronowski find a level of comfort in the black and gold. Thus far in 2025, Gronowski is completing 53.8% of his passes for 127 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
As the Hawkeyes ready for a Week 3 showdown against UMass, Iowa released its Week 3 depth chart.
After exiting with an injury, senior tight end Addison Ostrenga was absent from this week’s Iowa depth chart. Sophomore wide receiver Reece Vander Zee and sophomore running back Kamari Moulton still remain off the depth chart as they deal with injuries as well.
Sophomore running back TJ Washington Jr. is still listed atop the depth chart at running back despite rushing for just eight yards on five carries last week against the Cyclones. Junior Jaziun Patterson led the Hawkeyes in rushing at ISU, carrying 11 times for 60 yards. Redshirt freshman running back Xavier Williams finished with 26 rushing yards on seven totes.
Iowa’s Week 3 date against UMass from Kinnick Stadium kicks off at 6:30 p.m. CT and will air on the Big Ten Network.
