Iowa City High grad, NCAA qualifier Gabe Arnold no longer with Iowa wrestling

After two seasons with Iowa wrestling, Gabe Arnold, an Iowa City High graduate and 184-pound NCAA qualifier, is no longer with the program.

Arnold was 8-1 in his true freshman season with the Hawkeyes while keeping his redshirt intact. As a redshirt freshman last season, he took the 184-pound starting spot and was 19-7 on the year. He qualified for the 2025 NCAA Championships, going 2-2 at the tournament and finishing just outside a spot on the podium.

As a high schooler, he won an Iowa high school state title with Iowa City High in his senior season. Before that, he won two national prep titles at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School in Pennsylvania.
