As Indiana works to construct its 2026 roster, the Fever have signed former Golden State Valkyries forward Monique Billings. Forbes WNBA reporter Roberta Rodrigues was first to report the expected signing.
Billings averaged 7.3 points on 44.7% shooting during her lone season in the Bay Area. The UCLA alum also averaged 4.5 rebounds per game in 26 games played and eight starts.
Per Rodrigues’ report, Billings met with the New York Liberty during the WNBA’s free agency negotiation period, but Billings opted for the chance to join the Fever. Indy Star’s Chloe Peterson confirmed Rodrigues’ initial report, revealing that Billings has inked a multi-year deal with the franchise.
In her eight-season WNBA career thus far, Billings has averaged 6.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game on 44.5% field goal shooting and 75.6% free-throw shooting. Billings has played in 239 career WNBA regular-season games and started 66.
Adding to the benefits of the signing, Billings has prior playing experience alongside Caitlin Clark during their time together on Team USA during the FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament. Billings is also familiar with Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell, who just returned on a one-year supermax deal.
