One person died in a single-vehicle crash on an exit ramp of Interstate 235 in Des Moines on Tuesday morning.
Des Moines police and firefighters responded to calls of a crash on the east University Avenue exit ramp on I-235 just before 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 12. On the scene, they found a Chevrolet Colorado that had crashed into a concrete bridge support.
The driver, a man who has not been identified, was deceased at the scene. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The crash closed the exit ramp on Tuesday morning. Police are investigating the crash.
