The Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville will be a busy place this summer, with lots of events including a Major League Baseball game in August.
Here’s a look at some of the events to be held at the Dyersville site this summer.
‘If You Build It’ high school baseball series
The Field of Dreams Movie Site in Dyersville will open its new professional ballpark June 17-26 with the “If You Build It” high school series, a six-date event featuring eastern Iowa baseball teams.
All six high schools from Dubuque County will participate.

Roberto Clemente Foundation Field of Dreams Experience
Iowa Hawkeyes radio voice Gary Dolphin will emcee the June 19 event, which starts at 6 p.m. The evening will include a Q&A with Ghost players, a house tour, silent and live auction, and much more. Roberto Clemente’s sons will be in attendance. More information at robertoclementefoundation.org
Northwoods League All-Star Game
The Northwoods League, a summer league for college baseball players, will host its 2026 All-Star Game at the newly constructed ballpark on July 8, 2026. As part of a two-day event, the league’s home run contest will take place on July 7, 2026.
The Northwoods League will add a Dyersville team in 2027, and that team will play at the new pro ballpark.
Meet a Ghost, Ghost Saturdays
Visit with the world-famous Field of Dreams Ghost players throughout the summer. For a complete schedule visit the Field of Dreams website.
Youth sports events
The Field of Dreams movie site also is home to youth fields. There will be about a dozen youth baseball and softball tournament dates in 2026, with a four-day, mid-week tournament planned for July 27-30.
MLB game: Twins vs. Phillies
The Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies will play a Major League Baseball game at the Field of Dreams’ new professional ballpark on Thursday, August 13. This will be the third MLB contest played at the Field of Dreams site, after the 2021 and 2022 games.
A Minor League Baseball game between the Iowa Cubs and St. Paul Saints will serve as a prelude to that contest on Aug. 11, 2026.
Live music on the Dugout Deck
The Field of Dreams will host live musicians on select Thursdays this summer. For a complete schedule, visit the Field of Dreams website.
Velocity Music Festival
The second Velocity Music Festival will be held Sept. 4-6 in Dyersville.
