5-star Iowa women's basketball recruit shares official visit photos

Iowa women’s basketball welcomed a massive target in the 2026 recruiting class during homecoming weekend: five-star small forward Addison Bjorn out of Park Hill South High School in Riverside, Missouri.

During her official visit, Bjorn took in Iowa’s football game against No. 9 Indiana. The Hawkeyes showcased the experience Kinnick Stadium and Iowa City offers a student-athlete.

The 6-foot, 2-inch standout is the No. 9 recruit nationally, the No. 2 small forward and the top player in the state of Missouri in the 2026 class per the 247Sports composite.

After her visit concluded, Bjorn shared photos of her donning the black and gold. Iowa fans will no doubt feel that Bjorn and her family look right at home rocking the Hawkeyes’ black and gold.

Bjorn truly is one of the nation’s premier talents. As a junior at Park Hill South High School, Bjorn stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 22 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.3 steals per game en route to being recognized as the 2025 Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year.

While Bjorn still has visits scheduled to Duke (Oct. 2-5), UConn (Oct. 16-19), Texas (Oct. 30-Nov. 2) and Kansas (Nov. 6-9), the Hawkeyes hope their pitch to the superstar forward will bring her back to Iowa City after a commitment.

If Iowa women’s basketball coach Jan Jensen and the Hawkeyes can secure Bjorn’s commitment, along with a potential pledge from fellow five-star recruit McKenna Woliczko and the talented core already on campus, there are truly no limits for this Iowa program for years to come.
