As Iowa women’s basketball’s top 2026 recruiting targets near their final decisions for where they will continue their basketball journeys, Hawkeyes’ five-star small forward recruit, Addison Bjorn, will be taking her final official visit this weekend to Kansas.
The 6-foot-2 standout from Park Hill South High School in Riverside, Mo., is the No. 9 recruit nationally, the No. 2 small forward, and the top player in Missouri, per 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class.
As a junior at Park Hill South, Bjorn stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 22 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 3.3 steals per game en route to being recognized as the 2025 Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year.
The Missouri native visited Iowa on Sept. 27, where she attended Iowa football’s clash against Indiana from Kinnick Stadium alongside multiple members of the Hawkeyes women’s basketball program.
In addition to both Iowa and Kansas, programs also contending for Bjorn’s commitment are Notre Dame, Texas, Connecticut, Duke, and North Carolina.
While current Hawkeye commit McKenna Woliczko played with Bjorn in past Team USA national competitions, and both families are very much connected, Iowa fans will be crossing their fingers that the talented small forward still has her eyes set on Iowa City following her trip to Lawrence.
The early signing period opens on Nov. 12 and lasts through Nov. 19.
