Top Iowa basketball recruit Cayden Daughtry keeps wowing this summer. Daughtry put on another show on Thursday at Nike’s Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C., pouring in 43 points for the Florida Rebels on a 14 for 24 shooting performance.
Daughtry’s 43 points included the game-tying dunk to force overtime and a game-tying 3-pointer to send the contest against the NY Rens into double overtime. The 6-foot point guard knocked down 4 of 7 from beyond the arc.
Daughtry also added five boards, four assists and three steals.
Iowa is set to host Daughtry on an official visit on Sept. 12, which is the same weekend of the Iowa-Iowa State football game.
Daughtry is ranked as a five-star in the 2027 class, as the No. 9 player nationally, as the No. 3 point guard and as the No. 5 player in Florida, per 247Sports.
After another 35 points against UPlay Canada on Friday afternoon, Daughtry is now averaging an incredible 36 points, 6 assists, 4.5 steals and 4.3 rebounds per game on 60.5% field goal shooting, 40.9% 3-point shooting and 90.2% accuracy from the free-throw line.
Daughtry is from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and plays for Calvary Christian Academy.
