Will recent Colts' draft pick make 2025 season debut vs. Jaguars?

Will Indianapolis Colts linebacker Jaylon Carlies make his 2025 season debut in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars?

Carlies has been on injured reserve the entire season due to an ankle injury that sidelined him for much of training camp.

On Nov. 19th, the Colts designated him to return to practice, opening a 21-day window for him to be added back to the 53-man roster.

Friday is currently day No. 16 of that window.

In all nine practices that Carlies has participated in, he has been a full participant.

On Friday, Steichen said that Carlies “had a great week of practice.” The Colts will decide whether or not he will be active before the game.

Last season, Carlies appeared in 10 games and made six starts. He logged one sack, 36 total tackles, and a pass breakup.

Upon his return this season, Carlies could help out on special teams. Germaine Pratt has filled in next to Zaire Franklin since being signed earlier this season. Perhaps Lou Anarumo could look to get Carlies on the field during more obvious passing situations.
