Has Indiana football won a national championship?

This is IU’s most successful season in program history, by far. The Hoosiers made the College Football Playoff last season, but lost in the first round to Notre Dame. IU earned a Rose Bowl berth in the 1967 season, losing to No. 1 USC 14-3.

Coming into this season, Indiana had the most losses in major college football history (715), and it’s now second to Northwestern (718).

Before this season, IU last won a bowl/postseason game in 1991 and is 4-10 all-time in bowl/postseason games.

Has Oregon football won a national championship?

Oregon is in the College Football for second straight year. It entered last season’s CFP ranked No. 1 in the nation but lost to Ohio State in a quarterfinal game.

The Ducks have not won a national championship but finished with a No. 2 ranking after the 2001, ’12 and ’14 seasons. Oregon won the Fiesta Bowl in the 2001 and ’12 seasons, and lost to Ohio State in the CFP championship game following the ’14 season.

Oregon is 19-20 in bowl/postseason games.
