WNBA fan ejection: Fever vs Aces on Aug. 6, 2026

IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson and Brian Haenchen reported two fans were escorted out of Gainbridge Fieldhouse Friday night with 4:38 to play in the third quarter.

Aces guard Jackie Young pointed out the fans to referees and security near the sideline, according to the report. It’s unclear what the fans actually said, but the two fans were taken from the court.

The fan was “chirping all game,” Young told IndyStar. She let it go, but “then he made one that was a little bit too far.”

When asked to specify, she said: “I think we’ll just keep it in here.”

The Fever also responded with a statement to IndyStar: “Following a report of a comment directed toward a player, arena security spoke with the fan involved and witnesses. Security determined there was no violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, the fan was not removed from the arena, but elected to leave. We consider the matter closed.”

“Obviously, we don’t want to see fans get kicked out,” Young told IndyStar. “But at the end of the day, we’re human, too. So, you know, let’s just show up to games, have fun.”

Teammate Chelsea Gray also commented after the game.

“Stuff gets said on the sideline quite often … clearly they found reason to kick them out,” Gray said. “I’m just gonna leave it there.”

When told the fans left on their own, Gray responded with a nod and a smirk: “Remained out.”
