The Federal Reserve left its key interest rate unchanged earlier this week as the average home sale price in the US topped $530,000 in the last quarter of 2025, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
The Midwest came in at an average sale price of $438,400 to end the year, while the Northeast was the most expensive region at more than $1.2M, according to the bank’s data.
Closer to home, prices in Indiana were up 2.6% year-over-year in February, according to real estate tracking site Redfin.
With the average cost topping $500K and some areas over the million-dollar mark in others, we decided to take a look around the state and see what $1M buys in today’s Indiana real estate market.
Here are five of the most interesting properties we found in four different cities.
Indianapolis home built just after the Civil War

If you’re looking for something a little less urban and a little more lakefront, this 3-level home in Cordy Sweetwater Lake could be yours.

Trafalgar wooded retreat
If wooded quiet is more your speed, check out this custom-built home in Trafalgar that sits on 11 acres.
