The No. 21 Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be looking for their first win after a disappointing 0-2 start. The Irish were expected to contend for the national championship again, but two close losses to other ranked teams in their first two games has put that dream in jeopardy.
Notre Dame will be facing in-state rival Purdue at home on Saturday afternoon. The upset-minded Boilermakers are 2-1. Last year Notre Dame faced a similar scenario after dropping a heartbreaker to Northern Illinois. The Fighting Irish took out their frustrations in a 66-7 win at Purdue which sparked its CFP run to the championship game.
