Vote now: Who was the Courier & Press high school football Week 2 Player of the Week?

There were several standout individual football performances in week one across Southwestern Indiana. Who gets your vote?

Each week you can vote for both the Courier & Press football Player of the Week. Below you will find the football poll and brief info on each performance from Week 2 of the high school football season. You can vote as often as you’d like until 10 a.m. CT Friday morning. The nominees:

Courier & Press high school football Player of the Week nominees

Carter Bobe, Castle: The senior wide receiver had six catches for 94 yards and returned a kickoff for a touchdown in a 31-28 victory over Mater Dei.

Cooper Collins, Vincennes Lincoln: The junior quarterback accounted for 322 passing yards (three touchdowns) and 146 rushing yards (one touchdown) in a loss at Reitz.

Jett Goldsberry, Heritage Hills: The senior quarterback was 9 of 10 passing for 226 yards and five touchdowns, plus added 81 rushing yards and two touchdowns, in a 57-10 win over Apollo (Ky.).

Justin Leathers, Southridge: The senior quarterback was 4 of 9 passing for 74 yards (two touchdowns) and ran for 170 yards on 13 carries (three touchdowns) in a 56-33 win at Washington.

Jaylen Maners, Jasper: The junior quarterback had four passing touchdowns and one rushing score in a 43-6 victory at Harrison.

Ryder Snodgrass, Mount Vernon: The senior quarterback was 17-23 passing for 295 yards and three touchdowns – he also had two rushing touchdowns – in a 42-22 victory at Boonville.

Devin Stewart, Central: The senior had 10 tackles (three for loss) and two sacks in a 28-20 victory over Bosse.

Amyr ‘Juice’ Wilford, Reitz: The freshman running back had 45 yards and a touchdown in backup duty – returned a kickoff 98 yards for the go-ahead touchdown with under three minutes left in a 35-28 win over Vincennes Lincoln.
