Circle K is revamping its rewards program, giving customers the chance to earn up to $1 off fuel.
The chain of gas station convenience stores is shifting its Inner Circle rewards program from a traditional point-based system to a more flexible visit-based rewards model starting on September 2.
Under the outgoing model, a member accumulates points for purchases, often with a set value per dollar spent. Rewards are unlocked after reaching a certain point total, such as a free coffee or snack after a set number of points.
The new model is based on visits, with the member earning one visit for every qualifying in-store purchase of at least $3 or a purchase of at least five gallons of fuel. Guests can earn extra visits through personalized challenges based on shopping habits. Progress is tracked in real time via the Circle K app.
The accumulation of five visits gets a member a free Polar Pop or snack. Ten visits earn a free coffee or Monster Energy drink, and 25 visits can be redeemed for larger rewards such as Red Bull, Circle K meat snacks or up to $1 off per gallon of gas.
Inner Circle members don’t need to change their routines with the switch. Existing accounts and phone numbers carry over automatically with no re-enrollment required.
How it works:
On Sept. 2, Inner Circle members can get double visits to their accounts. From Aug. 25 to Oct. 31, they can get five cents off every gallon of gas.
New members can get 25 cents off per gallon on their first five fill-ups.
Customers can join by:
• Texting JOIN to 25050 to become a member and receive SMS offers.
• Downloading the Circle K app and create an account.
• Visiting circlek.com.
• Entering a mobile number at the pump or checkout to receive a text with an enrollment link.
